‘Our partnership with #TeamHerts Volunteering has helped our young people have a comprehensive CV that demonstrates their individual skill set over and above their qualifications, resulting in paid employment or further progression’
- Sue Hill, Head of Student Employability & Progression, West Herts College
‘#TeamHerts, I can’t thank them enough. My Cadet group had taken on a project involving the elderly, dementia and reducing social isolation. The only thing slowing us down was a lack of volunteers. As a result of their assistance I have an administrator, hopefully 3 volunteers to supervise the youths when they engage and a quiz master who will assist on fundraisers. All of which will spread my workload and enhance the success of the scheme. The time frame that all this happened was minimal, they were efficient and I had volunteers starting within a few weeks’.
- Rob Scott, Learning Development at Herts Police and Leader of Hertford and Ware Police Cadets
‘#TeamHerts have been brilliant in helping us promote volunteering opportunities across the county and the team are very friendly and supportive. The opportunity to share one of our volunteer’s stories gave us really positive exposure and a great response on social media! The training and event opportunities have enabled me to meet other organisations and people in the voluntary sector to share our passion of volunteering, best practice and develop my own knowledge in a variety of areas’.
- Carly Benton, Volunteer Development Officer, Crohns and Colitis UK
‘Everyone at #TeamHerts Volunteering has been so helpful since we signed up and I am really looking forward to working with you more in 2017’.
– Hannah Goodchild, Volunteer Coordinator at EHAAT
‘I found the volunteering to be useful not just in technical skills that I learnt but also social skills which I had been lacking previously. Volunteering has been a big first step that will get me back into working. Working in a positive environment has made me a more relaxed person and has helped stopped me from being as anxious as I was before I started volunteering’.
